Tolerance zero...

This afternoon i was sitting in the bus on my way to work..
I was an eyewitness of somethin i had only heard of stories..
But now i saw it in real life..


Ever since 9/11 people are afraid of muslims..
And dont think its only in the states.. dutch people got also infected with the virus called muslimphobia after the murder on Theo Van Gogh ( film director).
And don't think they keep it for themself no they will say it public right in your face.

I'll continue with what i saw today..

In the bus there's a muslim girl, who's sitting next to 2 elderly dutch people. She's at her stop and she asks if she may pass by because the 2 are blocking the exit..
while she passes by.. the man says 'look at that'.. on wich the lady awnsers 'yeah i know horrible'..
And the lady across me says 'yeah she looks like a ghost'..
The girl is getting out of the bus and the man is looking backwards to the girl.
The man again: ' they should send them all back to their own countries if they wanna live like that and they only can live on wellfare, they dont wanna intergrate'.
My blood is boiling...the lady across me is seeing how irritated i am about the comments they are making and she looks fast outside the window..
I wanna open my mouth to bad its my stop and i have to get out.

While im walking from the busstop to my work im thinking intergrate its a real fashionword now here in the the netherlands after RITA VERDONK introduced it..
I mean when are you really intergrated? when you speak dutch without any mistakes? When you eat patatoes everyday at 6pm ? when you walk on wooden shoes? When you know the whole dutch history? I know some dutch people and trust me i know foreigners who write better dutch then them. And the knowledge of dutch people about their own history is lousy!
And when are you really dutch?
They say when its written in your passport and you speak the language and when you're born here..
Hahaha. right......that counts maybe when you're white..
Even though im born and raised here, i got a dutch accent they never have asked what part of holland do i come from.. no they ask how long do i live here...when i awnser im born and raised in Amsterdam.. they awnser really? yeah really...

People think Holland is very tolerant with the possibility of gaymarriage , euthanasia, freedom of religion, Freedom of speech, freedom of who you really wanna be, etc..
It looks wonderfull on paper .. but in real its most of the time a different story..maybe in Amsterdam its not that bad as the rest of the country..

I arrive at my work i look to my kids and think.. ' ill hope the future will be better than today'..
